What is there is there and we just have to make the best of it

I am not opposed to the existence of religions. I def. know that religions always will exist. I won’t be so radical as the communists in Russia that turned the Churches into supply depots and sheds (although it is tempting). People should have the right to worship whatever, but they have no right to hinder anyone who doesn’t believe in their religion to do what he/she wants with his life and pressure their rules and laws upon them who do not believe. With that said I think it is obvious that we must not infringe our democracy or freedom of speech just because some people claim they are “hurt”.

I am positive for most part when it comes to politics, but I am very skeptic with the idea of mixing Islam with democracy. We don’t have one single Muslim state that is democratic (the closest we get is Turkey that is a military oligarchy that is oppressing Kurds and Assyrians). But then again, most of these countries are also those that have the least capitalism in the world. When capitalism and market economy prevails there and people start to trade and interest themselves of other things and when living conditions will improve I think we will see a more secular Muslim world. I long for that day. Now the Jews and the Muslims (the ordinary people) only have one place where they can meet up and trade with each other, and that place is only open randomly. No wonder they are killing each other. It is a sad situation in many places of the world indeed, but I hope for a more positive development in the future. I think we all do.
