Anti-Anti-War-Activists

I get soo tired. Today at work I met just another bunch of hippies from the East Coast of the States who were talking about that they understand that the world hates America and that the country deserves it and everything is soo bad at home and it is so much better in Europe. *sigh* America do have many things that are rotten, but one thing stands clear – it is one of few countries today that actually defends basic values like freedom and democracy even for those living abroad, in countries where these values can not be taken for granted.

Look, here’s the bottom line. The desire for freedom is a fundamental aspect of humankind. Yet there are those around us that wish to use their tactics of fear and hatred to keep the many people’s of the world in chains restricting them from living out their regular lives. Sure, there are such things as wars for independence and self-determination, but their is a clear line between working to forge your own peaceful and mutually prosperous destiny, and attempting to strip others of their ability to do so. Uhm, do you guys understand a little bit of what I’m trying to say? It is really important …

Terrorism is nothing but hate and fear-mongering. Stand with me against these would-be oppressors. Freedom is not free!
