( Hizb ut-Tahrir are forbidden to run kindergartens in  Denmark)

I love Denmark. It is such a great country. They are very liberal AND they do those things that the Swedes and their officials would be to scared to do. The Islamic party, Hizb ut-Tahrir, wanted to take over a kindergarten in Denmark (Nørrebro), but the heroic Social Minister of Denmark, Carina Christensen (Konservative), stepped in and banned the action as illegal.

I must agree on this. I am all about liberty and freedom to form new private schools and kindergartens, and I am of course a supporter of diversity – but it must not interfere with our basic values of democracy and human rights.  The Muslims who were taking over the kindergarten, “børnehaven Salam”, wanted to, among other things, separate boys and girls in all kinds of activities and make it illegal for them to even play together. We must stand united against those kind of ideas and values and let them never get a chance to prevail in our part of the world.

hehe well, we know what happened to Rushdie and Pim Fortyn (Fortuyon, Fortuion…gaah whatever). The first one has a fatwa (a muslim death sentence) on his head and the second one is six feet under…that’s why it is quite right to call her actions for heroic…especially in these days. In Sweden I think it would have been accepted.
But, of course, after all Denmark is a far better country than my own (Sweden)! 😉
