Talkin’ about IKEA …

When we’re at the subject IKEA I would like to mention another thing that is going on in Sweden right now. IKEA’s famous founder and peculiar owner, Ingvar Kamprad (one of the richest men alive),  wrote a hand-written letter the other day to our Government in Sweden about establishing an unemployment benefit fund for entrepreneurs and business-owners.

This is a great idea because it is a great deal of work behind starting up a new company. I mean, those people are the true heroes and heroines of our time. You get an idea, invest your money, earn your own money and are therefore able to help others by employing them and hiring them to your company. Creating new job-opportunities and giving more width in supply for the consumers – that’s what makes the world go around! Ingvar Kamprad started as a young boy working in his garage as a hobby-cabinet-maker and then when the demand got bigger and his success was a fact he enlarged his small-scale business. Nowadays, there’s not a doubt about that IKEA is the biggest company by its kind on the market.

That’s a real Cinderella story!
