Swedish furniture not good enough for Aussies?

Latest news from my newest category Oceania (or Oceanica as I like to call it), Aussie politician Don Randall criticizes IKEA and its bad quality. A lot of people complained in Australia when their Prime Minister John Howard chose to change the interior decoration for the Parliament building. The total cost of Howard’s fancy new house is around 3 million Swedish crowns!! That the opposition complains about that he’s a waster of tax-money is understandable! Why couldn’t he just used IKEA furniture! Isn’t it that good enough for the politicians and their fancy hats?

Well, according to Don Randall it’s not. But IKEA’s big cheese in Australia, Kent Nordin, directly responded him and said that IKEA furniture have been used for the Swedish King and Queen and also for the Swedish Embassy in Canberra.

“If he needs help with putting the chairs and tables together we can most definitely send him our assistance” Kent Nordin said. (Probably a handy Swede)
