An article in Svenska Dagbladet say Luftfartsverket now start a campaign on hiring more staff for the air traffic control system in Sweden. That is about time, as there have been problems all spring 2007 (and further back). Apparently nobody wants to be in the flying business anymore. There have been several problems with delays and so on a long time now, and on the top of that, the Danish SAS has been caused by a strike. Hopefully there will be a change.
Maybe this is one more reason to deregulate the air traffic control in Europe, so that the same organization for example could manage more than one airport although they are in different countries and then move staff if needed at time of sickness.
