A young man was brought to justice the other day in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is accused of attempted robbery and performed robbery. The culprit attacked his victims when they were using the ATMs threatening them with a butterfly knife. After the robbery the culprit apparently said that he did this only because of the Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and the non-socialist government that took office in 2006. He explained for the victims that he now couldn’t get any social welfare money from the state and that there are (according to him) only Swedes who get the jobs. He also wanted to make a statement with his crime in a political way to show “society” what the consequences will be if the Reinfeldt- Administration will continue to cut back on social welfare measures.
I read this in the newspaper ‘Metro’ on the train on my way back to Norway. Isn’t this so typical for left-wingers? To blame their mischiefs on others? Personal responsibility doesn’t seem to exist in their vocabulary, no matter the language of usage …
