The terrorist Nelly Avila Moreno, member of the Farc guerrilla in Colombia has surrendered and is now captured. She is well known for being one of the most violent communists in the region and it is of course a wonderful news that she is finally captured. She has caused so many people so much pain and she has shun no means in her fight for her bloody agenda. Farc is well-known for taking hostages and killing innocent people that do not agree with communism. Among their victims is the green politician + mother of 2, Ingrid Betancurt. Nelly, aka Karina, ought to be shot by a firing squad in order to state an example for the other terrorists in the Colombian jungle to show them what will come. Left-wings in Sweden often glorify Farc, but this is a WRONG thing to do. They are not freedom fighters, they are brutal terrorists. Anyone who says anything different is delusional and has no grasp on the Colombian reality.

Nelly will be freed after 8 years under the terms of her surrender. your belief that she she should be shot betrays your ignorance of the situation. the president of Colombia or the Minister of Defence is not calling for her to be shot and they’ve been hunting her for ages. they begged her to surrender and she did. by the way what do you know of Uraba?
I know of Uraba. The reason for why she surrendered is because she was starving and she lost almost all of her soldiers. She couldn’t continue her struggle, that is all.
I think she should be shot, but of course she will never be. She will be put in prison a shorter time and then put to freedom thanks to all the information she will be able to provide the Colombian government with on where the Farc is and how to get rid of them the best way.

If a person have killed let’s say 5 people, it might be argued that this person should spend his time in prison etc. But what about if we come up to a two-digit number? Three-digit? Was it wrong that the people of Italy killed Mussolini after all what he’d done to the nation?

Furthermore, it might be a good thing to show a hard policy towards those who are hard. Force is the only language they understand and we talk about a terrorist group with over 700 prisoners and a war that has been going on since the 60s. It is enough now. Let us get it over with.

compa you’re not ready for prime time. go do some reading on the peace & justice law and the terms under which nelly avila and many others have surrendered. read what the govt of colombia have to say on the issue before you mouth off. also read up about uraba, turbo & the colombian caribbean coast. educate yourself on the issues before you speak on them

I know what they have said, it’s all over the news (I speak and read Spanish). The organization has been given (historically) a lot of support from leftist states but that support has slowly faded away, for obvious reasons.
They have had a lot of support but now people are just up to here with terrorism and want their country to be stable. I’m not saying Colombia is perfect, nor the government. They have a highly regulated economy, the conservative Catholic church has way too much impact, and corruption is wide-spread. Does this mean I have to support Farc? Hell no!
And about Hitler, sure he was elected. Democracy isn’t perfect. I should be the first one to say that. Authoritarians can always use it to overthrow it, that’s the flaw, but then again, what’s your point man? The parliamentary democracy that Colombia has right now, even though it’s fragile and corrupt, is 10 000 times better than the Marxism-Leninism Marulanda is advocating!

Out of curiosity, if this Moreno had harmed your mother, or your daughter and set her on fire for being married to a policeman, do you think that you would seek retribution? With a 95% unsolved murder conviction rate in Colombia, this lady will live uneasily until her last day…..
BTW, my uncle unluckily let Marulanda and 20 cohorts escape to form the present Drug operation “AKA the FARC”, my other uncle is the founder of “Fundacion Esperanza”, and my father was born one block from the birthplace of Jorge Elecer Gaitan.
I agree with you, FARC has no boundaries towards human rights and are basically uneducated animals with no morals. You for example, based on your picture would probably get kidnapped within a week of living in La Florida or San Vincente del Caguan.
