Is the world getting dumber and dumber? Sadly, (as my friend Robin Leijon tends to say) it seems that the broad mass of the people is not exactly getting brighter at least, to the contrary, if we look at what people in general are interested in we get a depressing outcome. We live in the age of when boy bands and bimbos are roaming the earth and soap operas get more attention than the Nobel Foundation’s yearly meeting.
If you Google on Nelson Mandela, you’ll get 2, 5 million hits.
If you Google on Paris Hilton, you’ll get 64 million hits.
Is it just me who believe that we should get alarmed by this development? PLEASE, people, give your brains a chance!
We are getting dumber and it is through our desire to let our government become our caretaker that does this. We don’t want to have to think about how we will live. A nice example is to look at Chavez and how many people have fallen for this Stalin wanna be.
